About Carol Smith Myer
I am fascinated by the color changes in light and shadow. After 24 years pursuing and refining the nuances I see, my paintings reflect my own personal color sensitivity. Painting from life, I endeavor to bring an inner glow to my subjects.
I studied color in the Hensche tradition under Camille Przewodek, then studied with many Master Painters while honing my skills, and finding my path.
I love painting, teaching, the community of artists, and the beauty surrounding us in people, places, and things.
I have two grown daughters and two new Justin son-in-laws. I live in Novato, CA with my husband, Jan, a lighting designer, and three cats. I amuse easily, and living my dream.
